Script writing plays an important and vital role in
literary writing such as drama, novel, play etc. It is therefore, a script
writer has command over not only general writing but also on figurative
composing. The other most important aspect is the taste and attitude towards
literary composition of writer.
The so-called "mass media" had to wait for new technologies to come to life. The first of these was paper, which was invented in China around 100 BC. However, 1,500 years would pass before Johannes Gutenberg created the first printing press. This meant that the books could be produced on a large scale, before all the others had to be written by hand. As more and more people learned to read and write, access to the mass media increased. By the early 1800s, high-circulation newspapers such as The Times of London were gaining a large readership. The high-speed press informed the development of railways designed for large and large distribution. The advent of photography has changed the face of the media. In 1862, Matthew Brady exhibited photographs from the Civil War. The surprised Americans got up and looked at photos of Brady who died during the Time War. The New York Times noted that Brady "brought home the terrible reality of war". (A similar effect was seen when Americans watched a Vietnam War movie on their living room television.) In the late 19th century, new technologies allowed newspapers to print images.
Samuel Morris invented his code in 1835. A series of dots and dashes could be sent by wire and received at the other end. Messages can be sent over long distances at near-instantaneous instant speeds. Until then, the maximum speed at which information could travel was about 55 kilometers per hour by train. In 1876, Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone. Two-way voice communication was now possible.
In December 1901, the Italian inventor Guglielmo Marconi picked up a radio antenna connected to a kite in Signal Hill, St. John's, Newfoundland. He received a radio signal from Cornwall, 3,400km from England. Instant communication was now possible without wires or cables. On November 2, 1920, the KDKA radio station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania flew to announce the results of that year's presidential election. Eight years later, the images were added to the soundtrack. W3XK was located on the outskirts of Washington and broadcast on television, primarily for entertainment, for four years. The latest media shock came in 1965, but hardly anyone knows. Two computers communicate with each other in a Massachusetts Institute of Technology laboratory. The technology splits a message into individual packets which are then repackaged on the recipient's computer.
With many improvements, it has become the Advanced Research Project Agency Network. It was adopted by the US military in 1969 as a communication system. The idea was, and still is, that if a line of hostility ended in hostility, the system would take a dangerous path. In 1974, ARPANET was adapted for commercial use. LiveScience reports that in 1976, Queen Elizabeth II hit the "send button" in her first email. Then, in 1990, Tim Berners-Lee and his Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) developed a technology that allows people to access the Internet. The following year the World Wide Web was born and in 1993 600 websites and two million computers were connected to the Internet. In 1998 the Google search engine was born and the way people use the Internet has changed forever. In 2004, Facebook went live and the whole social media trend started.
For improvement of literacy and literary work it has been broken down into stages. So first is planning, it is very mandatory to plan first on which you are going to take your pen. First of all we make blue print of our writing which is called planning. Then the next stage is called drafting. It is very important step of writing development, before we give final touch to our work we have to make draft. After drafting sharing comes, sharing is step in which we exchange our work with others and in this way we add the opinions and views of others. Then evaluation, this is the step in which we evaluate our work and move forward to the completion. After evaluation revising, with passage of time writing work is revised according to new requirements. Then editing is the next step in which writing work is edited accordingly. Last step is publishing it is final and last stage of writing in which writing is published.
Writing a screenplay is a very useful process, but it's not an easy task. Creating a good script takes a lot of time and dedication, and if your goal is to sell it, finishing the first draft is just the beginning.
A journal line is a brief summary of your story, usually no more than one sentence, describing the main characters and their target, as well as the opponents and their conflict. The main character is the hero / main character of the story, while the evil / bad man / opposing force. The purpose of the logline is to convey both the basis of your story and its emotional impact.
Today, the connecting line serves the same purpose, although it is usually spoken orally or combined with treatment. Then after logline summary comes, the summary should highlight the highlights and important twists in your story. Anyone who reads it should have a good idea of the story, characters and style. They should learn enough to empathize with the characters and want to follow them on their journey to see how it goes. Writing a treatment also gives you the opportunity to look at your story as a whole and see how it reads on the page, and can help you understand what works and what doesn't in the details of the writing of each scene. As your treatment will be used to market your scenario, be sure to include your name and contact details. Then after summary create your character, Think about the story you want to tell. What is it about? Do you still know the theme? Create characters who are the opposite of the main question and have to undergo major changes to answer. The most important thing when developing your characters is to make them empathetic and interesting. Even a bad person must have a reason for being bad, even if it might be unreasonable.
The point is, you need to tell your story. The more detailed your sketch, the less time you will spend on the road. When tracking, keep in mind that stress drives the story forward. Raising and releasing tension is the key to keeping audiences engaged and moving the story forward. When hope meets fear, tension arises. This is what forces the hero to change.
Using your sketch as a map, write your scenario scene by scene, including dialogues and explanatory actions. The first ten pages of the script are very important. A reader or producer usually has tons of scripts on their desk and doesn't have time to read them all. They will give a ten-page scenario to draw. Otherwise, it will be garbage.
Now that you have a complete draft, you have a better idea of your story as a whole. Go back and refine the process, tighten the dialogue and edit the script. Chances are you will have to do this more than once. When creating the final version, it's best to use more space on your pages. It is easy to read and fast. When a producer has to read multiple scripts a day, it's daunting to see a script filled with dense process details and long pages of monologue.
Apart from his writing skill he has also some other qualities that he must has are, He must be versatile and all rounder type person he is to not confine himself within one field of life but he should be rather versatile and universal. He is not only proficient in his literary field but as well versed in other fields such as cultural, civilization, economical etc. The other necessary quality of script writer is his sensitivity. He is never be aloof and indifferent but rather very sensitive and touching person. A script writer should have reflexive nature which means he should be reflective of his society and community he should portray real picture of society. He should maintain justice in his work. He should never be basal and partial but rather impartial. He should work as jurist and judge and take no favors of anybody. A script writer must possess this quality. He should also be moralist and abide by all moral values of a society.
Every
country has some legal obligation for script writing. It is therefor a writer
must have all knowledge about legal aspects of script writing and all other
legal obligation for taken pen on any matter. He must go through the copy
writing. Writer must protect their work and content or
ideas will be stolen by other writers. Copyright must be clearly indicated on
their copies. Therefore, it should appear on the cover of the script and at the
bottom of every page of the script. When the reader sees the writer's script,
they will realize that they will not have the right to steal the content unless
they have the permission of the script's author. Censorship writers are
prohibited from using sex or violence. It is doubtful that a film will be
released that shows true sexuality and racial intolerance. However, some people
will say that this material is helpful in representing these issues in a
positive way. This will show that the writer followed the social values that
govern the censorship board. The problem of notoriety is worse for a
writer because it can end his career. The screenwriter must therefore write the
truth about his "personal experience and what he can prove". A known
problem can affect a novelist and a non-fiction writer. Creating a professional
script with real information is considered disrespectful. If it is a real
person, it must be done with care, otherwise that person will be hurt. Ethical
Issues as a Writer; Race, gender, sexuality and religion also come into play.
Distorting them can be harmful to an author and can tarnish their name when
posting content on any platform, especially the CNN and BBC. Pay attention to
what we publish. One of the recent obstacles is the misrepresentation of women
in the media. Action Falak has now reached the surge of femininity in
Hollywood. This is starting to change, but the misrepresentation of minorities
is still strong in the media.
Apart from this, A salaried screenwriter for a television network can earn up to $ 5,000 a week. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average annual salary of a screenwriter for the film industry is 44,350. Research writers are known to earn between $ 100,000 and $ 600,000 for a screenplay. Writers can choose to negotiate royalties instead of charging commissions. The outlook for screenwriters is complex depending on the nature of the market. There aren't that many jobs in this industry for the number of people who want to make a living. TV networks and production company executives are constantly on the lookout for good scripts. The problem for writers, however, is that studios are increasingly relying on star power and special effects, which undermines good writing.
The above mention aspects are equally vital and necessary for a literary work. It is the process in which work is examined in all aspects, its art value is examined and watched with criteria set for this type of work. We cannot say one is more important then other. Their values and their places is solid in their own places. We cannot exchange their values with one aspect to other in short every aspect has its own value.
