Research and Inspiration
For my portraits assignment I need to create a small digital photography zine which could explore the relationship of images with texts.
So for this assignment I have selected following three categories of photography
- Fashion photography
- portrait photography
- product photography
So in street fashion I'm inspired by Christoph Ammann, he is from Switzerland in his photography he mostly go with events and architecture, portraits and lifestyle photography. The first picture on which I'm working is pretty much same like this
but other two picture are of different kind.
And in fashion photography the second category I have selected is Beauty Editorial its the sub type of Editorial photography.
In beauty editorial photography I'm inspired by Royal Gilbert, Like he is a fashion photographer basically from Scott, Quebec but currently based in Montreal.
In his photography he mostly plays with visual arts like experimental use of lights. So in this category there are two pictures on which I'm working on.
2) Portrait photography: The other kind of photography on which I have to work on is portrait photography. In portrait photography I'm inspired by the famous Ansel Adams, Known as the Supreme Master of Landscape Photography, Ansel Adams is by far the most important name among famous landscape photographers.
Ansel Adams was an American photographer and environmentalist whose prints are the perfect evidence that the work that happens after pressing the shutter button is extremely important. As a whole, his images depict a pure fascination with nature as his landscape photographs of the American West—especially Yosemite National Park—are his most iconic body of work.
By following his foot steps I'm also going to take the shoots of different artificial or infrastructures and natural scenes.
3) Product photography: The other job on which I have to work is Product photography. I have no idea for this type of job earlier. The experience what ever I got only by constant touch with my job and this assignment. Like I found out everything while researching about it. In product photography I'm inspired by Nori Inoguchi.
Born in Japan, NORI Inoguchi was educated in New York where he refined his passion for photography. His love of luxury and desire to create visually stunning images inspired him to become a still-life product photographer; NORI seeks to find beauty in all of the objects he shoots. With his sophisticated eye and minimalistic approach, he has exploded onto the world stage and has earned bookings from the best names in fashion, cosmetics and electronics. His career has brought him to Paris, London, NY and even back to his native home of Japan.
So in product photography I am focusing on men fashion. Like, the products on which men fashion is totally dependent nowadays.
