DOCUMENTRY PROPOSAL
TITLE: NEED WATER TO SURVIVE.
Log line
I want to
highlight the most backward and hidden area of my district where people are
living under poverty.
Synopsis
of the story & Idea
I wish to
bring to light very obscure and most forgotten area of my district Mianwali.
It looks and
unbelieved fact in this twenty 1st century that there lay some area
of our most lighted and advanced province as compare to other provinces of
Pakistan. This helpless area is a small hamlet of district Mianwali, named
“Wanda”.
It is
situated at the basin of river Sindh diversion from North to West. This glomed
area is devoid of basic civil facilities of health, education and homage. Even
dwellers of this area has no approach to pure water. They don`t have any clean
water for their kids and for them self at home. They are compelled to drink
polluted water of river. Water is as precious for them as gold. There are
mountains of salt in this area, so if they take water from the ground it is
salty, it is not even drinkable. And when they take bath with salty water their
hairs falls out, skin itches all over and it stings. So these people bathe in
river water instead of this water. For them water is bigger problem then
coronavirus and other dangerous diseases.
There is no Hospital or Dispensary in their
area so whenever people from this area get sick, they have to travel to other
areas for treatment. And just because of that people who got any serious
illness die before they reaches to the hospital. Another major problem for them
is transportation, It is very difficult for them to travel from there area to
other areas. These people travel by boats from their area to other areas.
Because of this, the children from this area who have to go to school face a
lot of difficulties. Because they have no school in their area, so they have to
go to other areas to get an education. Many children in this area do not get an
education because of these problems. Almost all the people in this area are
illiterate, so most of people are Laboure’s because of illiteracy. Beside this
area is at echelon of two advanced towns but has no land link to other parts of
Punjab. The people of this area living a very lonely life, cut off from the
rest of the world.
Main
problems.
a) (Lack of pure water) People of this
area do not have access to clean drinking water. They are forced to drink the dirty
water of the river.
b) (Land locked area) The people of this
area have no land link with the country or other cities.
c) (No Education and Health care
facilities) Residents of the area have no access to basic health and education
facilities.
d) (Communication dead lock) Even the
people who live here have no access to communication technology. There isn’t
any way to communicate with people of other areas.
e) (Lack of employment) Almost all the
youth of this area is unemployed.
f) (Transportation facilities) People from
this area travel by boats to reach other areas in which they face a lot of
difficulties.

this issue as soon as possible. After that I want to target some local and

and help them out, understand the problem of these people and find a solution
for them. And then I will target the people of social media to find out that
